The winter solstice marks the longest night of the year. The cold becomes intense and mercilessly attacks everything that no longer has life or inner warmth. Winter is a difficult time for living beings, they are tested in their bodies, pushed to their limits. Gardeners know that it is also a time of the rooting and the hidden germination for many plants.
It is a time of silence, of interiorization, we feel the need for human warmth and mutual support. It is during this period that the Essenes celebrate Archangel Gabriel and his element, WATER.
For 7 days, through songs, dances, meditations, prayers, meditative movements, ceremonies, we create together a field of life to vivify the essence and the virtues of WATER:
- softness
- fluidity
- discipline
- tenderness
- purity
- clarity
- family…
During the first 3 mornings of the week, our activities aim at our preparation for entering the body of water. It is also the period when you can receive the blessing of the Good Turning of the Heart. From Wednesday onwards, our celebrating activities take place also in the afternoon, until early evening.
